Prophecy Is…

Based on the reading of I have gleaned that God also hold accountable those who do not listen to the prophecy that comes forth. I have primarily heard what is mentioned in Deuteronomy that if a prophet speaks what God has not spoken then the prophet must die but you don’t hear many people, if any speak on God holding the hearer accountable as well. I also gained that God knew we would be afraid of those who spoke “presumptuously” when things don’t come to pass because the message has not come to pass.
In regards to prophecy… I guess my question Pastor Matisha is how do you work through all that happens in that moment? There is a lot going on; there is the Lord Speaking, the people or person, fear, doubt. I know my confidence should always be in God but How and when do you become confident that what you are about to say is what God said exactly and how he told you to say it? And if you make a mistake how do you correct it?
Jesus spoke in Matthew 24:4-14 about signs of the times and the End of the Age. Some of the things that are going on in the world today, I have read in the Bible. God used the Prophets in the Bible to speak His words to His people. God spoke to them His inspired word. The word spoken came to pass. So for today prophecy still remains the same if spoken it should come to pass. God changes not and He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Dr. Stringfelllow is in line with the word in Deuteronomy 18:22. My new insight is to stick with the word of God. Also, to spend more time praying for God’s kingdom because of all the situations that are going on around the world.

Every prophetic word is from God. God’s words will enter our mouths. The Prophet will only do and say what God says, they will not use their own perspective but the perspective given to them from God. A Prophet should not proclaim what God has not said. If the message the Prophet speaks does not take place or come true then it is not from God.
